36-year-old Kurtley Beale chose to capture the first nations & Passika XV
Veteran Kurtley Beale was appointed captain on Sunday of a first nation and Passika XV to face British and Irish lions, with coach Tutai Kefu of Adamanti that they can win the game.
Half of the 36-year-old flight brings 95 experiences of experience on the Australian side with The first nations or the island of the Pacific inheritance.
They meet the Rags of Andy Farrell Lionswho have won all six tournaments in Australia so far, at Melbourne’s Docklands Stadium on Tuesday.
“Kurtley is the most experienced player in the team and was the natural selection for the captain,“Kefu said.
“He is an extremely talented footballer and has been there and made him on the big scene.“
Kalani Thomas, who has had two appearances against the Lion already this tournament for Queensland Reds and Aunz XV, lined up with Beale in half the scrum.
David Feliuai and Lalakai Seal represent a powerful partnership in centers with Triston Reilly and Andy Muirhead finishing three back with Filipo Daugunu.
Hulking Propu Tanla Tupou has been released from the Wallabies camp and will be packaged in the front row with Brandon Paenga-Amosa and young Lington Ieli.
Darcy Swain and Lukhan Salakaia-Loto make up an experienced second row, while Seru Uru, Charlie Gamble and Tuaina Taii Tualima complement a comprehensive trio in the back.
“We are pleased with the way it has joined and the boys have been brilliantly tied up so far, ”said Kefu, who played for Australia 60 times.
“Lions have shown how strong they are in this tournament. No matter who plays, they will be very difficult to defeat, but we are not here to do the numbers.
“We want to win this game and make history.“
In a sour note, Pete Samu of Wallabies is missing after lions blocked him to play.
The 33 -test Flancker was named to Kefu’s initial team last week, but tourists insisted that only those who played Super Rugby last season should be acceptable.
Samu spent the last two years with the top 14 French Bordeaux, signing for NSW Waratahs only recently.
Lions will name their team on Monday.
