Potgieter and Roy both broke the previous course record 63 – match Thursday by Australian min woo lee and Americans Greyserman Max AND Mark Hubbard.
“Just one of those days everything was clicking,” Said Roy, who had seven birds in the first 14 holes, then thrown on the stage from the eagle to the 17 -year -old after his second shot with five wood from the first street, rolled off the surface of the placement.
“I was shocked with five wood that went so far away,” Roy said. “I had 279 (to) the pin. I don’t make a five wood so far away, but maybe little adrenaline or something that is happening.
“Fortunately just pulled out of the back, it was a great lie and just had to do it and it spinned like a two pedestrian. Of course a bonus,” Added Roy, who rolled on a five -legged in the last.
This attracted the attention of Potgieter, who had landed to 10 and increased the steering chart when he chose five strokes in a four -hole space, starting with his fourth bird at 16.
He followed him with a 10 -foot eagle at 17, a bird 10 meters in 18 and a first bird in the first.
