Simon Yates triumphs in the 10th stage of Tour de France
Ben Healy rode to the ground in a nail bite final to become the first Irishman in the 38 years to wear the yellow jersey in Tour de France, as Britain’s Simon Yates claimed victory in Monday with a perfectly time attack.
Giro D’Italia champion Yates came out of the day’s break to secure his third career tournament victory, leaving in the last climb to defeat Timen Arensman of the Netherlands and Healywho ended the second and third respectively.
Heading on the first day of rest, Healy leads the defensive champion Tadej Pogacar With 29 seconds in the overall classification, as Slovenia was facilitated to the last climb.
