Lions coach Andy Farrell ‘delighted’ but sees room to improve after win over Australia
The main coach of British and Irish lions Farrell warned of the side must improve for another test next week against Australia, despite being “delighted” with the victory in Brisbane.
Lions cruises in 24-5 shortly after halftime but had to keep fast finish WallabiesWho scored two late attempts.
Farrell said he was pleased to whom his side was kicked out by Australia in the first half but was disappointed Allowing hosts back to the match after the interval.
“Both teams would target this match, so I’m thrilled to go with victory” Farrell said.
The match was launched 23 to physically dominate the Australians, Farrell said, which was a match that replaced the match, especially in the first half.
“We started well physically and who played in the swing of how we played the first half” He said.
“But in the second half, in the second half, Australia would be quite satisfied with their physical.”
Farrell said that loose forward, Tadhg Beirna and Tom Curry were extraordinary, justifying his choice in front of some criticisms that were beneath the best on tour.
“They were huge, absolutely huge,”, He said. “They are big players for play, so I think they would be thrilled to respond to their choice.”
Lions are now sure that they will go to the third test in Sydney with series still alive, no matter what happens next Saturday in Melbourne.
And Farrell said Wallabies showed enough to be a real threat in another test.
“We know what’s coming. We saw what happened in the second half and how much more (of Wallabies).
“So we deal with other games knowing that I know completely well what happened in 2013. Years” He said. Twelve years ago, Wallabies were also lost the test in the opening, but in the other they leveled the series.
“When the Australian team becomes desperate, hard to worship so that we expect a different game next week.
“But by saying that, we expect more.”
