Round Review 20 NRL: Another successful week for almost all main eighth contenders

It had to have a high eight loser when Melbourne and Manly played a thriller down south, but otherwise he was sailing quietly for the best competition teams this weekend.

The great winners of round 20 are …

Hard hard to know where to begin to consider that any side grass Storm in Melbourne moved one step closer to the finals, and even the storm should not worry that he has won six on the sidewalk before that close loss at home to Eagles of the manly sea.

Sea eagles are probably the side that benefited the most from their success on the weekends as they needed a big head to increase their trust and confidence by going into a tricky three-week period.

Anthony Seibold’s men now have a 4-2 record like Underdogs this year, but there were six of the ten matches they lost as favorites at the beginning of the season they had under threat.

Seibold has escaped much of the review thanks to the pressure to be the likes of Adam O’Brien, Todd Payten and des Hasler at the same time, and now his team is in a much better position with the Trboevic Brothers Tom and Jake Flying and 20-year-old Lehi Hopoate playing an interesting foot in return.

Melbourne was the head they needed desperately because their next three matches also include difficult tests against Canterbury and Canberra. They simply could not afford to enter them without confidence with crusic as well as growing up and dolphins doing enough to hang.

It will be a very fun race for the finals, that’s for sure.

The big rounds of round 20 are …

It is not at all panic stations for Melbourne or even Sydney Roosters, despite the latter falling into the cronulla and wests, but now it is almost certainly curtains for the rest of the package, led by St. George Illawarra Dragons after their fifth loss in six weeks.

It was another angry case of ‘Oh SO Close’ for the men of Shane Flanagan as they fell into their sixth loss of less than eight points, leaving many people to think about how 2025 could have come out if they had not been so poor in defense throughout the first half of the season.

Flanagan issued his disappointments in the trial both inside and outside the Earth, arguing after the match that “Game was taken by us (by) Wrong

In fact, they became the first team of the competition that was involved in eight matches with a difference below 6.5 points and they were on the wrong side of their three -fifth.

They arranged things against Bulldogs but Jothro Rinakama again saved Canterbury’s bacon, while there were also insights as to why Lachlan Galvin was destroyed in the middle of the season in controversial circumstances.

Australia has a new coach for returning ash

Ever heard of a lead coach taking a three -match trial?

This is what will happen Queensland Legend Kevin Walters after it came out on the weekend that it will contract to lead Australia During their tour at the end of England, which will present the long -awaited return of Rugby League’s The series of ashes.

The position was fired by Mal Meninga earlier this year when he was engaged in the foundations of Perth Bears before their entrance to NRL in 2027.

Walter was unable to confirm his appointment when asked on Sunday, but did nothing to exclude him, which acted only as a semi -confirmation of a close notice.

We’ll just wait and see“Said Walters.

Of course I would be very privileged and grateful to get the opportunity to train Australia.

The Rugby Australian Commission prevents current club coaches from taking double roles, which means that Wayne Bennett and Craig Belmy’s likes could not be considered for the role, despite the games that occur in the off-season.

Ken Irvine Medal Boadboard

There is only no stops Dolphins Dynamo Hamiso Tabua-Fidow after he recorded his fifth trail of the weekend league season in the high win of Dolphins with high 43-24 scores against North Queensland.

Remember his 17 efforts for 2025 come despite failing to score in any of the four rounds of opening, during which Dolphins began the season with a four -match match.

The hot and cold winger of the Xavier Coates storm took his second hat-trick in four appearances after gathering three against both sharks and sea eagles. Ironically, they lost both of those games while winning his two appearances in the middle – despite not finding the line once!

There are a total of nine players with 13 or 12 campaign attempts, but they have all taken a lot to do now.

Try the week: round 20

We just can’t cross the second 18-year-old Leka Halasima, who used more lucky deviation to complete the wonderful Warriors return against Newcastle. Now they have a two-game buffer inside the four-top, so it can be one of their defining moments of the season.
