Antonsen provides access to China Open China in Thriller with three sets
Anders Antonsen on Thursday secured his place in the quarter -finals in the Super 1000 tour, China Open.
DANISH defeated Chun yi lin from Taiwan to three very tight groups, with Antonsen ensuring its progress through a win 21-19, 20-22, 22-20.
In the third set, it finally seemed as if Antonsen grabbed the momentum and could secure the quiet victory, but the controversial call of a line against Dane caused great disappointments.
However, Antonsen returned to the right track and secured his quarter-final entry, where he will face 26-year-old Frenchman Toma Junior Popov.
Here he is, the only Danish player left in the big tour in all categories.
On Thursday, doubles mixed with Mads vetergaard And Christine Busch first came out in two groups against a Indonesian pair, and later Mads Vestergaard was again on the losing side – this time in pairs for men along with Daniel Lundaard.
The Danish team of men for men lost in two groups in a pair of South Korea.
