Wald write to the UEFA to pronounce concerns about the crystal palace
Nottingham Forest asked UEFA for clarity after having expressed her concerns about the Europa League place of Crystal Palace.
The Eagles won the FA Cup to qualify for Europe for the first time in their history Multi-club owner rules.
UEFA’s last decision will concentrate on the American businessman John Textor, the owner of Eagle Football, who holds a share of 43% in Palace.
Eagle Football also has a 77% participation in the French side of Lyon, which, like Palace, has qualified for the Europa League of the next season.
The rules of UEFA state that “no individual or legal person” can hold a majority of voting rights for shareholders’ rights in two clubs in the same European tournament.
If a judgment is made against Palace and Lyon, in view of the French team in Ligue 1, you will get sixth place in front of the 12th place in the Premier League.
Forest took seventh place in the Premier League and won a Play-Off-Platz in the Europa Conference League, but to win it if Palace could not compete in Europe and could be included in the Europa League.
Sources have announced BBC Sport that they issued their reservations to UEFA.
UEFA’s regulations are available to prevent agreements between clubs. The argument of the palace is its historical FA Cup victory – Slope Manchester City 1-0 last month – and European qualification was a service that was only achieved on its own.
The club insisted that they are a company that works completely independently of one another, not within the structures of a multi-club model.
The palace also states that there have been no employees, employees in the back room or a coach parts with Lyon, no dialogue, no collaborative strategy, no combined partnerships, sponsorship or commercial offers and no collective scouting, analysis or software cooperation.
Forest avoided this problem after the owner Evangelos Marinaki’s owner watered down his control over the club.
The Greek businessman also checks Olympic Coos and the Portuguese side of Rio Ave and at that time Forest and Olympiacs were on track to qualify for the Champions League of the next season.
Forest corresponded to the rules after the UEFA had changed the date to March 1st so that the clubs highlight potential problems with regard to owner structures, since it was always unmanageable to carry out the checks required from the previous period of June 1st.
At that time, Palace had not acted despite the qualification by the FA Cup.
The first and second qualification round of the Europa League and the conference league are in July.
BBC Sport contacted UEFA and Palace, which refused to comment on a comment.
