England Training Group strengthened by Blackett and McGuigan for summer tour
Lee Blackett and Byron McGuigan will join the England training team of Steve Borthwick for the next summer tour in Argentina and the United States, the Rugby Football Union said on Monday.
Blackett, currently the Prime Minister’s attack coach Bathroom managerswill open to replace Richard Wiggglesworth while he is on duty as assistant coach with British and Irish lions in Australia.
First Scotland Winger McGuigan, Currently Defense Coach at SHARKS SHARKSIt will work with Joe al-Abd as a defensive assistant.
EnglandWithout a large expected lion contingent, face Argentina in La Plata on July 5 and San Juan on July 12, and United States in Washington on July 19.
At the end of the tournament, Blackett and McGuigan will return to their respective clubs.
“England has traditionally traveled to Argentina when playing British and Irish lions,” Borthwick He said “is a summer series that has always offered a fantastic opportunity for premiere coaches to work in the test environment. I am glad we are able to do it once again.
