Vingegaard strikes with doctors for the missing of the missing Paris-Nice test

Jonas Vingegaard does not understand why he was not checked for a shock when he collapsed in Paris-Nice.

Jonas Vingegaard Crahed on his 84km bike to go to the fifth phase of Paris-nice earlier this month, cutting the upper lip and seeming to hurt the wrist.

Vingegaard contacted the race doctor after returning, but was allowed to complete the scene without further examination. Later it turned out that he had suffered a shock.

“I contacted the race doctor because I had blood on my face. But they didn’t want to check me for a shock, which I saw strange. My glasses were broken, I had blood on my face and my eyebrow.”

“In the future, they must check all those who are hit by the shoulders before letting them continue,” Jonas Vingegaard tells the press from high -height training camp in Sierra Nevada.

In the days after the collision, he was able to stay awake for only one hour at a time.

And he did not help the recovery that he was too eager to restore a bike.

“I suffered from her early, but every day I made progress, and on Monday (four days after the collision, Ed.) I thought I could try to sit on the bike for an hour. That really turned into attack.”

“I was a lot of dizziness afterwards and I had to go to sleep, so I didn’t touch the bike for the next four days. Friday or Saturday was my first day on the bike again.”

“But by then it was so late I had to cancel my participation in the Catalonian tour,” says Jonas Vingegaard.

The accident meant that Vingegaard had to restore his calendar. Critérium du Dauphiné in mid -June will be his only test of force before Tour de France.
