Roland Garros: Jesper de Jong ends the gorgeous return from two groups down to beat Passaro
Jesper de Jong progressed in the second round of French Open after a long battle and an impressive return against Italy Francesco Passaro: 3-6, 6-7 (7), 6-4, 7-6 (1), 6-1.

De Jong finally broke Passaro for the first time since the first group, and a good third group resulted in his first victory of the day. The Dutch barely set a wrong foot in his service games, winning 21 out of 27 points, on the street for a 6-4 win.
A fourth important set started wrongly by De Jong as he broke Passaro in the first match in his second resting point. De Jong sailed the first four games and brought home his service games with successive love games.
Passaro understood the severity of the situation and again set up a real war, removing two rest points from De Jong in the fifth game before breaking his Dutch opponent next game.
A second tie was needed after De Jong rescued his match in the final stages of the fourth set. The Dutchman defeated Passaro in Tiebreak, breaking Italian into every single point of service and forcing a fifth decisive set.

De Jong continued his excellent shape in the fifth set and broke Passaro in his first game of service, but the Italian immediately fought with a reprint. However, De Jong stayed in the war and forced his third point of rest in the following match, one of which he immediately captured and received a comprehensive 3-1 supremacy with him.
The Dutchman continued the cruise and seemed to have knocked his opponent long before the last match after the Dutch confidently put the match with four consecutive wins of the game, including the last one in Love.
An ecstatic de Jong won the game in three hours and 54 minutes and set a meeting with Alexander Zverev in the second round of French Open.
