Champions Canada Rutland Finland to set up the World Women’s Final with Old Enemies USA

Champions Defense Canada dropped Finland 8-1 in the semi-finals of the World Hockey Championships on Saturday to set up a somewhat predictable final against the United States.

Canada AND we have all contested but one of the previous 23 finals, with Finland Denial of Canada a place in the 2019 decision maker, and the two hockey houses will meet again on Sunday after the hosts of the SH.BA Czecheke Republic 2-1 in their semifinals in Arena Ceske Budajovice.

Finland, 5-0 beaten by Canada in the previous round, made a bright start but eventually undone in the last minutes of the second period by a ruthless Canadian pair of hammer Japan 9-1 in the previous round.

The Finns took a shock lead in the opening minute, with Michelle Karavinen reaching the ball in front of the goalkeeper.

Canada calmly dealt with early blow and withdrew the level of Erin Ambrose within two minutes and Piska of Philip Set the champions before the end of the first period.

This goal made Poulin Canada’s top scorer at the 87th Women’s World Championship, overcoming Hayley Wickenheiser.

Finland was unable to take advantage of the first game of match power in the second period, and when Canada was restored to full strength they paved their lead with Daryl Watts Strike from behind the goal going to the goalkeeper.

The goal was challenged by Finland for lost offside, but the result stayed with the Finnish punished for delaying the game, Watts scored again during the power game to make it 4-1.

Emily Clark and Danielle Serdachny added two more goals for Canada before the end of the second period to let Finland need a miracle.

At the beginning of recent period, Finland had a five-minute game, but it was Canada that scored again, through Claire Thompson and Sarah Nursing ended up on the road. Finland will now watch their bronze medal against the Czechs on Sunday.
