Aston Villa Boss Unai Emery Sying Spot on Champions League along with FA Cup Triumph

Unai Emery has set his footage to lead Aston Villa in their first FA Cup triumph since 1957 and completing a memorable end of the season by qualifying for the Champions League.

Asked if earning the FA Cup for the first time in 68 years is more important than the qualification of the Champions League, Emery reporters told: “When you start the season, you are trying to set goals through four races – Premier League, Champions League, FA Cup and Carabao Cup.

“We are still in two races. We’re focusing on each match trying to get the best, and being in Europe is a clear goal we have.

“The first way to get Europe is through the Premier League, but also taking the trophy in the Armed Forces.

“Now, we can not choose just one competition. We are choosing both races hard because we have two ways to complete our positive season.”

The FA Cup is a chance for Emery’s first trophy in English football and the victory over Palace would achieve their first appearance in the final since 2015.

“As coach my challenge when I got here was to get some trophies along the way,” He said.

“We have an opportunity because we are in the semifinals, but there is a lot of work to do.

“When you are getting experiences and taking trophies, the most important thing I learned and liked was the way and not the end.

“I want to enjoy the semifinal, everything we will do. Traveling to London, being together, preparing the match, atmosphere in Wembley.”

Emery’s previous visits to Wembley as manager was when it was in the top Arsenalplaying against Tottenham In a league match while the new Spurs stadium was being built.

“I like it, and tomorrow I will enjoy it. Of course, I have a great responsibility to try to respond well with the players,” He said about returning to the national iconic stadium.

“But I’m very excited playing matches like tomorrow, and the opportunity we will have.”
