Burnley owners reach agreement to get the Laliga Espanyol side
The Premier League side owners of Burnley Velocity Sport Sport Limited (VSL) agreed on a deal to get La Liga Espanyol team on Monday.
“The random group, most RCD shareholders Espanyol, have reached an agreement in recent hours with Velocity Sport Limited, an English -based group who also has US shareholders,” Spanish club Espanyol said in a statement.
“The raster is not disconnected from RCD Espanyol, but on the contrary its shares will become part of this new investment vehicle that will have shares in both clubs.”
Espanyol will become the second team under the VSL control after the English dress BurnleyBut the clubs “will remain independent”, the statement continued.
“This business integration formula allows the coexistence of two historical clubs that will work independently, although they will be supported by the same financial group.”
Chinese random group and owner Chen Yansheng have grown unprofitable with Espanyol fans since they took over in 2015, with the club twice removed from the high flight.
