Champions League: Feyenoord Draw Portuguese and French teams
During Monday’s draw at the UEFA Champions League in Nyon, Feyenoord withdrew against SL Benfica and Ogc Nice in a possible round play-off.
Robin Van Persie’s team must first play Turkish giants Fenerbahce in the third round of the qualification phase. Insult Cut the side of Istanbul to Rotterdam on Wednesday (21.00 Cet) for the first leg.
If Feyenoord fails to defeat Fenerbahce, they will qualify directly in the UEFA Europa League League phase. The winner of the match between the Dutch giants and the Turks will face or Benfica OR Ogc nice.
Feyenoord and Benfica met in the stage of last year’s UEFA Champions League league. The game became prey to Feyenoord, who defeated Portuguese 3-1 Giants on their ground.
Fenerbahce and Benfica met with each other earlier this pre-season after the Portuguese won 3-2. Both sides also met in the third round of the UEFA Champions League qualifying phase in 2018 – Benfica overturned Fenerbahce with a 2-1 overall victory.

Feyenoord and Ogc Nice have never met in an official match, but played their first match against each other earlier this summer: Feyenoord lost 2-1 in Ligue 1 dress in a pre-season friendly in Austria.
The last time Fenerbahce and Nice met was during the 1959/60 season, when both sides met three times in the first round. Both Fenerbahce and Nice caught a 2-1 win at their house’s feet, after which Nice overthrew the Turkish dress with a 5-1 win.
The UEFA Champions League’s qualifying phase will be played on 19/20 and 26/27 August.
