Chan 2024: Austin Odhamambo says Kenya in Tourmanent to win it
Harambee Austin Odhamambo stars has assured Kenyans that the goal of the team is to make sure they reach the final of the Totalienerges African Championship Tournament and set up the trophy on household lands.
Kenya is co-organizing a two-year-old reserved competition for players playing for clubs in their respective leagues, along with East African neighbors UGANDA AND TANZANIA.

Odhamambo added: “It will be a team effort. You can’t do it alone, it’s a team effort and we all have to think the same, the whole team you should think of the same, so I believe we all have the mentality go on the tournament and we will make Kenyans proud.”
Odhamambo’s feelings were echoed by the defender and teammate at the club level Alfonce omijawho excluded that the team was under pressure going on the tournament.
“There is no pressure, we have no pressure, it’s just football played in the field, and even if we have pressure, then we know how to calm it down, so it’s nothing to worry about,” Omija said.

In whether Kenya will play in the finals, Omija said: “This is our goal, every team comes with a goal of playing in the finals, but we are ready for every game, we want to attack it a game at a time.”

Kenya coach McCarthy expressed pleasure to get a chance to try his players in front of the Chan tournament. “It will really be a great opportunity to see players in a truly competitive composition,” McCarthy said as quoted by Cafeteria.
“This is also a chance for us to appreciate the systems we have worked on and observe how players react under the pressure of the match. Crucial is essential for building the moment ahead of our opening game against Dr. Kongo.”
The tournament will be played on Robin’s round base with each team playing three games. The Harambee Stars of Kenya will open their campaign against Uganda on July 21, while the hosts Tanzania get Senegal the next day.
Matchday three on July 24 will see Senegal Face Uganda, while Tanzania Battle Kenya. The last day on July 27 will see Kenya play against Senegal, while Uganda will come out against Tanzania’s Taifa stars.
