Conor Benn and Chris Eubank were set for match in September after the first historic period
Chris Eubank and Conor Benn will fight it again on September 20 after agreeing on a match of a controversial period won by Eubank in April.
Over three decades since their fathers Chris Eubank Sr and Nigel Benn fought for the first time, Eubank Won by unanimous decision at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
The same place has been sought again to wait for the event, but promoter Eddie Hearn has suggested 90,000 Wembley capacity as an opportunity.
Hearn told Ring Magazine: “Spurs is contracted – it’s a fantastic stadium and worked extremely well the first time.
“Of course, it was sold and this war is even bigger, so you can watch Wembley to increase capacity.”
The three judges marked the 116-112 competition, with any man able to reduce the stroke, such as Benn suffered the first loss of his professional career.
“The experience gained, the lessons received,” Benn said in a post on social media after the match was confirmed.
Eubank SR defeated Nigel Benn in 1990 in a world war for the middle title before a draw three years later.
The boys were scheduled to face each other in 2022 but the war was canceled because Benn failed two drug tests.
Benn, who has denied the deliberate doping, was then cleared to fight.
