“They are one of the best in the world, and they punished our mistakes. Still, I’m proud of the way we fought. We didn’t hold back and we gave everything in the field.
“Of course, there were moments from which we can learn, and others we can build. That’s football. Sometimes you win, sometimes you grow up.
“There was no doubt that there were some positives to get from experience, and being part of a tour like this has made us only stronger as a team. Now, it has to do with regrouping, good detail arranging and returning better. We will continue to pressure. The journey does not stop here.”
Former -Ylli Westerlo and Liefering is proud to have been part of this historic competition, stressing that the learning journey is far from finishing.
He added: “Being part of this inaugural tournament was extraordinary, especially at my age. Truly is really an honor to compete in such a phase.

“It is always great when fans gather from all over the world. When I think again at the World Cup in Germany in 2006 … it was fantastic to see so many cultures all together.
“People who are out to have fun who want to celebrate together, watch good football and just enjoy, especially in these strange times.
“We will distribute those tasks within the club, as we have resources to unite enough materials in those teams. This is not a problem nowadays, with all the media we have at our disposal.” But of course, there are some teams that we have never passed trails before, such as Pachuca from Mexico or Al Hilal from Saudi Arabia. “
In the club’s philosophy, Letsch added: “Important for us to stay true to our principles. We will surely see us as strangers, but we want a clear football philosophy to support our performances.
“We are aiming to be brave, and while we do not want to make big changes, there will be some minor adjustments for each opponent.
“Complete change to adopt a passive approach is out of question for us. On the contrary, we want our performance to reflect what Salzburg requires.”
