Exclusive: Keeping Gibbs-White is ‘Mass’ for Nottingham Forest, says Stuart Pearce
The Legend of Nottingham Forest Stuart Pearce says that Morgan Gibbs-White’s decision to sign a new contract is a clear sign that the club is on the right track.
After a few weeks of speculation, White gibbs rejected a movement in Tottenham and Champions League football to sign a new deal in 2028 with forest Over the weekend.
Talking with Tribalfootball.comPearce says the decision was essential for forests after the sale of Anthony Luna BY Newcastle United.
“I think on the back of Elanga leaving the football club, which comes as a real shock to me to be right, the fans did not need gibbs-white also leaving,” He said.
“I have contacts with a lot of fans and got good connections with Nottingham yet. Fans didn’t want to see Gibbs-White leave the football club and I think that was massive for him to stay.
“They’re building something in Forest, so they don’t need to take a step back, if you like it. You know, European football is great for them this year as well, the first time in a very long time. And I think it’s good that they have convinced the player that his future, at least in the next year or more, will be in Nottingham.
“And I think Nottingham Forest has been a good club for it too.
“No doubt. It’s not just what he can do for the forest. The forest has been a good club for him to shine and play the football that I think he enjoys playing.”
