‘Failed Politics’: Dutch players ‘union’ shocked in Ajax stopping seven players
The Dutch Football Union of the VVCS Union says it is shocked at Ajax’s treatment of the seven players of the first unwanted team.
Ajak prohibited Chuk, Jay Gorter, Carlos Forbs, Branco van den BOMEN, Kristian Hlynson, Borna SosaAND Christian Rasmussen From training with the first team, from using the field of training at the same time with the old team, and from using their designated parking spaces. The club has also shared only one physiotherapist for the seven players, including Van Den Boomen, who is currently recovering from a long back injury.

Alex Kroes, Ajax Technical Director, apparently informed the seven players of the club’s decision in a WhatsApp message. The Executive Board decided to stop the seven players in an attempt to force them from the club and clear the financial space. Four of the players, namely PAKPOM, Forbs, Van den Bomen and Sosa, were part of the ‘wrong purchases’, a group of 12 players won by former technical director Sven Mislinates in the summer of 2023.
The German executive, who worked for Ajax between May and September 2023, spent € 120m on twelve players, who he made considerable salaries. These salaries will increase by fifty percent now that Ajax are qualified for next season’s UEFA Champions League.
‘Failed policy’
VVCS, the Dutch players’ union, led by former professional Evgeniy Levchenko, have issued a statement condemning Ajax’s treatment of seven players, calling it “failed politics”.
“VVCS is surprised by the expulsion of seven contract players from Ajax. These players are deliberately isolated by their colleagues in the first team,” the statement says.
“VVCs consider this as a form of unfair employment practices and unnecessary public damage to players who have no responsibility for the situation they were born. In fact, they are victims of failed Ajax policy, which at that time gave the missing.”
Ajax did not respond to the statement.
