Fans of Liverpool and Kenny Dalglish Pay tributes for Diogo Jota in pre-season friendly

Liverpool supporters and their former striker and their manager Kenny Dalgish brought the tribute to Diogo Jota and his brother Andre Silva in front of a season before AC Milan in Hong Kong on Saturday.

Before the onset, supporters set up a mosaic describing “DJ 20” and Dalglish placed a wreath in memory of the former Liverpool forward Whosewho died with his brother in a car accident in Spain this month.

Liverpool players wore patches “DioGo J 20” on their shirts and black strips. AC Milan side Rafael Leao made tribute to his Portugal friend making a “2” and “0” mark with his fingers after scoring an early goal on the Italian team 4-2 win.

Liverpool fan Zoe Leung and her family made a plaque in Jota’s memory.

“I think Jota’s death is sad and I was really shocked when I saw the news. I did this with my family to show some respect for Jota,” 24-year-old Leung said.

Liverpool players will wear a “Forever 20” emblem on their shirts during the next Premier League season. Supporters may have “Diogo J. 20” printed on shirts in club stores, with profits going to the LFC Foundation, the official charity of the club.

Liverpool fans exceeded the AC Milan supporters at the 50,000 KAI TA capacity stadium, many bringing placards, scarves, flags and banners to cheer on their team.

Liverpool travels to Japan near to get the Yokohama FM to J League World Challenge on Wednesday. They begin protecting their title at Premier League at home Bournemouth on August 15.
