Florida Panters sign Sam Bennett in Extension of Eight Year Contract
Florida Panters signed the Sam Bennett Star Center at an element of eight -year contract on Friday before the start of the NHL free agency on July 1st.
BennettThe eight -year deal will pay an average of $ 8 million a year.
Bennett, coming out of another Stanley Cup win for PanthersIt was given the Conn smythe trophy (Stanley Cup Playoffs MVP) after posting 15 goals and seven assists during Play off.
In 76 matches during the regular season, Bennett set 26 goals and 25 assists as one of the central parts of the team that eventually landed them on the celebration of the Stanley Cup profit in the back years.
Bennett has spent the past four seasons with Panters after being treated in a trade that includes Calgary Flams During the 2020-2021 season – ironically the same arrangement that included forward Emil Heineman, who also traded on Friday.
After being taken to the fourth place in the NHL 2014 draft, Bennett spent six years as a member of the Flame. Now, the 29-year-old will look at his career in Florida as the team wants to go for a three peat next season.
