Füchse Berlin is afraid that Arnoldsen-Comeback may prove a bad surprise in Aalborg

Füchse Berlin is afraid that the Danish international, Thomas Arnoldsen, who made his return to Aalborg over the weekend, could play a vital role for the local team, when the Germans traveled to Aalborg on Wednesday’s foot return on their Champions League quarter.

After a convincing 37-29 victory in the first quarterfinal of the Champions League against Aalborg handballThe Danes are left with a mountain to climb in front of the return leg in northern Jutland.

But the German League leaders are determined to face a different Aalborg team than last week.

Has not escaped the Germans’ attention that world champion and Olympic gold medalist Thomas arnoldsen made a comeback for Aalborg last weekend after being out of action for seven games.

“I expect another match from the first match, not only because Thomas Arnoldsen will surely play. It makes their offensive goals more vivid and dangerous”say Fox Coach Jaron Soewert on the club’s website.

Thomas Arnoldsen had returned to Aalborg on Sunday and scored two goals in the play-off match against Skanderborg AGF.

It was his first appearance within a month and a half after he suddenly failed to appear on the team’s sheets after a match on March 8.

By mid -April alone, the club’s director Jan Larsen announced that Playmaker needed physical and mental rest. Arnoldsen has also fought with a form of mental exhaustion earlier in his career.

But now Arnoldsen is set to make a return to the Champions League against Danish national teammates Mathias Gidsel, Lasse Anderson at Gigantium Arena.

“It’s a big dream to reach the final 4 in Cologne, but Aalborg is very strong at home. A hostile reception awaits us, and the team will be very motivated. They are a world -class team especially with Thomas Arnoldsen’s return”Says sports director Stefan Kretzschmar.

The match will be played at 18.45 Cet on Wednesday evening.
