Hong Kong qualify for the Rugby World Cup for the first time in history

Hong Kong qualified for the Rugby World Cup for the first time in their history on Saturday as they spent South Korea 70-22 in Incheon to become the champions of Asia.

The victory gave Hong kong A six -rugby champion of Rugby in Asia and with it a place in the expanded tournament with 24 teams to be expected from Australia in 2027.

Hong Kong, a global famous for his seventh annual tour, will now rub his shoulders in the 15-way show with the likes of South African world champions and all New Zealand’s blacks.

“Pretyty too big to be honest,” said Hong Kong captain Josh Hrstich.

“Only super, super proud of our game group, our management, training staff and people behind the scenes. There are many who go to make a team successful.

“Thank you all for supporting us and we will need them for the coming years because it will become quite special.”

With the centers of Asian government Japan one of the 12 teams that had already been qualified due to completing the first three of their pool in the 2023 World Cup, a bed was ready to capture for the continental champions.

The winner of that meeting will progress to a final qualification tournament in Dubai in November.
