Kane Williamson and Michael Bracewell to lose New Zealand tour in Zimbabve
Kane Williamson and Michael Bracewell will pass the next two -test tour in Zimbabwe with the blessing of New Zealand cricket, while Paceman Ben Sears has been excluded from a side injury.
Rob Walter, who replaced Gary Stead as coach last month, named his first Tuesday’s test team, giving a call for a new fast attack without catching Matt Fisher and remembering experienced hands Ajaz Patel and Henry Nicholls.
“Kane and Michael were ahead with New Zealand’s cricket for their availability for this tour during the contracting process,“Walter said in a news announcement.
“While all test matches are extremely special and important, the fact that these tests are not part of the world test championship influenced discussions on this occasion.
“We will definitely lack their talent and class, but this allows for others and we are lucky to be able to call the likes of Ajaz and Henry who are both proven performers at the level of proof.“
Comprehensive Bracewell has been allowed to lose the tour to play in hundred In England, while Paceman Kyle Jamieson has chosen to stay in New Zealand for the birth of his first child.
Lack of Jamieson offers possible opportunities for Fisher and Jacob Duffy, who has played short -form matches New Zealand But it is not yet to win a test cap, in two matches in Bulawayo in late July and early August.
