Marc-Andre ter stegen out for three months while healing from back surgery
Barcelona’s captain and German goalkeeper Marc-Andre Ter Stegen will be avoided for three months as he recovers from his back surgery, the 33-year-old said in an Instagram post on Thursday.
Attributed He was absent seven months after suffering a knee injury last year, which forced him to surgery before he did his return in May. He previously underwent surgery in 2023, which removed it for more than two months.
“This time, doctors believe that about three months will be necessary as a precaution, to avoid risks,” said ter Stegen, who has been in Barcelona Since 2014, winning six Laliga titles and a Champions League with the club.
“Emotionally, it hurts a lot by not being able to support the team during this time. Fortunately, rehabilitation is manageable and the back route is clear.”
