Mohamed Salah ‘lost to the words’ After the death of Liverpool team friend DioGo Jota

Mohamed Salah said he is “really lost to the words” after the tragic death of Liverpool’s teammate DioGo Jota.

Whose28 years old, died in a car accident alongside his brother Silva next in Spain in the early hours of Thursday morning.

The duo were traveling back to England through ferries when their car suffered a suspected tire blow while crossing another vehicle, making them leave the road.

The accident happened just days after Portugal International Jota married Russian childhood boyfriend Cardoso, who is the mother of his three children.

Thousands of tributes have poured from the entire football community, with the former Liverpool Manager Jurgen Klopp and Portugal Captain Cristiano Ronaldo leading the road.

And now SalahWho had been the friend of Liverpool’s team Jota since 2020, posted his emotional message, confessing his death he was afraid of returning to pre-season.

“I’m really lost for the words,” Salah posted on X, reflecting on the passage of Jota.

“Until yesterday, I never thought there would be something that would scare me to return to Liverpool after the break.

“The teammates come and go, but not like this. It will be extremely difficult to admit that DioGo will not be there when we come back.

“My thoughts are with his wife, his children and of course his parents who suddenly lost their children.

“Those who are close to DioGo and his brother Andre need all the support they can receive. They will never be forgotten.”

Salah and Jota played 151 games together for Liverpool and were combined for 19 goals.

Jota made 182 appearances for the club and scored 65 goals and was part of the team that won the Premier League title last season and previously won the FA Cup and the two league cups.
