MotoGP: Luca Marini e Honda suffers serious injuries including the collapsed lungs during testing in Japan

Honda’s knight Luca Marini suffered a bad collision while tested in Japan, holding injuries to the hip, knee, chest and shoulder, as well as a collapsed lung, the Japanese team said Wednesday.

Marin had traveled to Suzuka county after the British Grand Prix held over the weekend and the Italian was testing Honda’s bicycle for the 8-hour sustainability race when he fell too much on the second day of the test.

“Suffering from a displaced left hip, damage to the ligaments in its left knee, fractures in the sternum and left collarbone and a one -sided right pneumothorax, Marini moved to local hospital and stabilized,” Honda said.

“Marini will remain under surveillance in Japan until he is considered suitable for traveling.”

Honda did not give a time limit for Marini’s return. The 27-year-old is the 13th in the MotoGP Riders ranking after seven rounds.

The next round MotoGP is Grand Prix Aragon in Spain on June 7-8.
