New Zealand Cricket announces 2027 launch for new exclusivity of Major League
New Zealand Cricket (NZC) said on Wednesday that he has agreed with the US company True North Sports Ventures (TNS) to begin a new exclusivity of Major League Cricket (MLC) that will debut in season 2027.
NZC said it would be a “The first deal of its kind” Among a full member of the International Council of Cricets and an exclusivity of a Cricket professional connection, with TNS watching Toronto and Atlanta among other cities to based exclusivity.
NZC will provide “High and Operational Performance Support” which includes training, management and support staff for the twenty20 tour which had its inaugural edition staged in 2023.
“As the exclusivity cricket grows globally, the NZC must be adapted to exploit strategic opportunities that ensure the sustainability of our cricket network,” NZC Scott Weenk chief chief of NZC Scott Weenk said in a statement.
“It helps to diversify our income flows, expands our basis of the global brand and fans, and creates new ways for developing and maintaining talent for both our players and our coaches.”
MLC currently has six teams based in Los Angeles, New York, San Francisco, Seattle, Texas and Washington DC. They plan to expand to eight teams by 2027 and 10 to 2031.
NZC also said it has the opportunity to partner with MLC Sameer Mehta and Vijay Srinivasan co -founders for other opportunities, which include a second exclusivity planned for 2031.
