Nigeria notifies the squad for 2024 African Nations Championship

Nigeria’s head of coach Eric Chelle has revealed a 23-year-old team for next 2024 African Nations Championship (Chan) to co-owned by Tanzania, Kenya and Uganda.

In a bold act, Chelle has set his confidence in the NPFL champions Remo starsWith nine players from the winning team of the League making the last cut.

After a few weeks of intensive training at the Remo Stars Sports Institute in Ogun state, the team left Nigeria on Thursday evening on the way to Zanzibar for the second phase of their preparation.

Zanzibar training camp, running from July 25 to 31, will offer the important adjustment team before the tour starts. As part of their final preparations, the eagles will face Zanzibar in two friendly matches on July 28 and 31.

“I’m waiting for the tournament. I’m prepared and we have to give our best. You know Nigeria is one of the best places in Africa. We’re preparing very well.”

Attracted to Group D, Nigeria will fight in the protection of Senegal Champions, Sudan and Kongo in what promises to be a phase of the group heavily contested.
