Aston Villa has raised objections to Tottenham Hotspur’s request to postpone her Premier League game in May in order to support the opportunities of the London club for possible success in Europe.

Spurs are in the semi -finals of the Europa League and, when you reach the showpiece, you will have to play in Bilbao on May 21 – just three days after your meeting of Villa Park.

In a declaration published on Sunday, the association said: “We would like to inform the supporters that we are changed in discussions with the Premier League about changing the date in our away match against Aston Villa, which is currently planned for Sunday, May 18.”

BBC Sport understands that Spurs wanted to advance the game on Thursday, May 15th. However, the request was rejected by the villa.
