Premier League: Rodri and Erling Haaland again in training, reveals Manchester City chief Pep Guardiola

Manchester City Rodri midfielder has returned to training for the first time since suffering a serious knee injury in September, manager Pep Guardiola said on Thursday.

The absence of international Spain after surgery in its anterior intersection ligament is quoted as a major reason cityThe search for a fifth direct Premier League title was destroyed.

While the recovery of 28-year-old Ballo d’Or Winner has probably come too late for the campaign, news of returning to the bar is a welcome incentive for City.

Guardian also said their striker in Norway, Erling haalandhas returned to training, not playing since March 30 due to a foot injury, though unlikely to appear in Friday home match against Wolverhampton Wanderers.

rod It will now be led by the club’s medical staff before a return date is set, Guardiola said.

“The moment the physician and the doctor say Rodri may start playing minutes, he will start playing minutes. But doctors have to tell me,” Guardiola said on Thursday.

“It was a difficult injury. It was seven months for eleven months, more or less, doctors said.

“He feels really good, every day he is making sessions and sessions, but we have to take the step to avoid taking a step back and getting hurt again.”

Haaland, 24, injured the ankle in the 2-1 quarter-final victory of the FA Cup to Bournemouth in March and has lost five League matches and Sunday FA Cup victory over Nottingham Forest.

City is the fourth in the Premier League with 61 points out of 34 games in a battle with six clubs for the Champions League qualification, with the first five assured of all entry.

However, the wolves are in sensational form and arrive at Etihad Stadium on Friday at the back of the six consecutive victories.

“I’m not surprised (from the form of Wolves),” Guardiola said. “In recent years, I think they have always had really good players, and now they have had a tremendous run.

“It is quite similar when Newcastle came a month ago and Aston Villa came. It is another final for us. We have four finals, and now we go to the first.”
