Ruben Amorim says the Europa League profit can be the point for Manchester United’s future

The profit of the Europa League may not save the Manchester United season, but it can still be essential for the close future of the club, both inside and outside the field, said manager Ruben amoring ahead of Thursday’s semi -final clash at Athletic Bilbao.

like United Sit 14th in the Premier League with 39 points after suffering 15 losses this season, Amorification He believes that European success can inject the very necessary momentum into a disappointing campaign and in their reconstruction plans.

“Everyone knows (game against Bilbao) Really really important for our season, “ Amorim told reporters Wednesday.

“We know that nothing will save our season, but that can be big, winning a trophy and also to enter the Champions League.

“Having those games next year can change many things in our club, even during the summer.”

While Amorim sees the Europa League as a possible turning point, he stressed that the qualification for the Champions League would not solve all United’s problems.

“This can change our wine, it can change next year,” He said. “But we have to deal with a lot in our club. We will be fine with the Champions League or without the Champions League.”

Asked about the contrast between the strong European form of United and their battles in the Premier League, Amorim said he had little answer, but told the team issues before the goal.

“I don’t know why (we’re better in the Europa League). We’ve had some games where we haven’t created (scored) situations, but it didn’t happen in the last match,” Amorim said by referring to Sunday’s 1-1 drawing THEir Bournemouth.

“We’re creating the chances, but we’re not scoring goals, but sometimes you don’t have an explanation. I don’t have a big explanation for that.

“We are far from being a really stable team. We have a clear lack of goals and that has cost us a lot of points this season.”

In the midst of the debate if it is right for a club with poor internal performance to qualify for the Champions League through the Europa League, Amorim said United should use as much as possible, regardless of how it is perceived.

“It’s the rules. Maybe you can say it’s not right because the best teams should be in the Champions League,” He said.

“But I suspect it was made to give value to this competition. If we have that opportunity, we must try to achieve it.”
