“I was born in the 1980s and raised in the 90s and I really believe it is the best era to be children because we had technology, but we didn’t have internet,” said Schmeichel.
“We didn’t have phones and we weren’t attached to all these things. And I learned very early in my career just not to read about myself.”
“In all honesty, I haven’t read a single word about it. Of course, I have become aware of different people but have not read it.”
“What is what it is. I play football, and football is the most popular sport in the world. And everyone will have thoughts. And do you know what? That’s great. Great is great because football is a game of thought. It’s not right, there is no mistake.”
Schmeichel underlines that he has no plans to overthrow the curtain in his international career with Denmark.
“I like to play for Denmark,” Schmeichel said, addressing the case for the first time.
“When I was growing up, this was a dream. When I was a kid and was visualizing in the garden, I was visualizing the stadium and wearing Denmark’s shirt.”

“Still having the opportunity, still having the ability, the car, the love to do it, I wouldn’t give up. Obviously no.”
