Sheffield Wednesday shared the company with manager Danny Rohl with mutual consent less than two weeks before the start of the season, the Championship Club said on Tuesday.

German Rohl, 36, took over the responsibility Wednesday In October 2023 and helped the Yorkshire side avoid removing from the second level. He instructed them at one end of the 12th place last season.

“Sheffield Wednesday would like to thank Danny and his back room team for their services and wish them well for the future,” The club said in a statement.

The English Football League (EFL) decided on Wednesday under the transfer limitations and accused the club last month of salaries of unpaid players. Owner Dajphon Chansiri was also accused of causing the club to violate EFL regulations.

Media reports said Chansiri was seeking to sell the Hillsborough -based club.

Wednesday will start their championship campaign August 10 displaced Leicester.
