Switzerland faces the harshest challenge as they get to Spain in the world champions in the Euro quarter -finals of women on Friday, but coach Pia Sundhage predicted a victory for her side saying everything is possible.

The Sundhage team has already become the first Swiss team to emerge from the group’s phase in the tournament, and although the Spaniards represent a frightening opponent, coach Wily Swedes stressed that major obstacles have taken place before.

“I would say this is the biggest ever. And the reason I am saying this is because we will play against the world champions. And also, in household land, a quarter -finals, so I think this is the moment,” Sundhage told reporters on Thursday.

“We try to share stories. That’s what life is about,” she said, revealing that the team had watched men’s side videos causing a similar concern beating Spain at World Cup 2010.

“There are some stories you would like to happen again, so sharing stories unites us, but they also bring a lot of energy, and only the mindset is possible.”

In the face of the power of reigning World and Nations League champions, Sundhage was extremely confident before confrontation in Bern on Friday evening.

“I promise you this-we will do it. It will be hard. But I promise you,” the 65-year-old said. “Not just one by one, we will do it together.

“And if that community works we have a chance. The most important thing is that we do our best, we can’t do more, we do our best in the quarter -finals in Bern. I think that’s something special.”

The winner of the game will face or France OR Germany in the semifinals.
