Newcastle sealed the qualification of the Champions League on the last day, even though they had lost to Everton, while Chelsea and Manchester City also confirmed their places in the competition for the next season.

Despite the loss of 1-0 on Sunday, the results meant elsewhere that Newcastle ended the Premier League campaign 2024-25 in fifth place to secure a place in the top competition in Europe.

Chelsea defeated Nottingham Forest on the last day to take fourth place, but this result means that there is no place for the conference league for the eight -class team – Brighton.
