UEFA accuses Rangers for “shameful” anti-wich banners

According to Rangers, the management committee of European football has described it as “racist and/or discriminatory”.

“Rangers is a modern, progressive football club, and we are very proud of our diverse play squad, workforce and support,” says the association in a website declaration.

“It is shameful that the club will be charged with such a matter in 2025, and the contempt of those responsible is shared by the vast majority of our supporters.

“This indictment brings consequences for the club, while the club also works to identify those responsible and to ensure that it also has consequences.

“To avoid doubts if you do not believe in 2025 that absolutely everyone likes to follow Rangers, whether at Ibrox or Away, Rangers is not the club for you and you should disassemble yourself with the club immediately.”

Rangers were also charged with objects that were thrown on Thursday, but say that their own players and employees were “with rockets” in Celtic Park during the old victory of Sunday in Celtic Park.

“This becomes a regular event, not only for Rangers games, but in the stadiums in Scotland,” Rangers states.

“When you concentrated on Ibrox, however, there was a widespread incident in the old company in January, while one of our own supporters was hit and injured in the last game with Motherwell by an object that was thrown to the away.

“This senseless and criminal behavior has neither sport nor in society. If you think that such behavior is acceptable, you are not welcome in Rangers games.”

Rangers also look before a UEFA sanction for blocking passages in the Fenerbahce match and ask the fans to follow the advice of stewards and police.

In addition, Rangers say: “Despite clear warnings on the contrary, pyrotechnics were used by two people after the old victory on Sunday in Parkhead.

“This consists of the risk that another 800 of our supporters in the last phases of the Premier Sports Cup in Hampden cannot take part in one game, in addition to the 500, which are already overlooked due to the use of pyrotechnics.

“All behaviors mentioned above have consequences for the club and either directly or indirectly the followers of the club.”
